the Joker teams up with Lex Luthor to kill Superman. The Joker, short on funds, proposes to Luthor that he can eliminate Superman using a Kryptonite statue. Batman, pursuing the Joker, discovers the plot and alerts Superman, leading to a team-up between the two heroes. The Joker kidnaps Lois Lane, using her as bait, and Batman and Superman must work together to save her and defeat the villains. The Joker, needing money for his criminal activities, approaches Lex Luthor with a plan to kill Superman in exchange for a large sum of money. Batman, tracking the Joker, ends up in Metropolis and learns of the plot. Batman and Superman initially distrust each other, but the shared danger forces them to work together. The Joker kidnaps Lois Lane and uses her as leverage to lure Superman into a trap. Batman and Superman foil the Joker's plan, saving Lois and ultimately thwarting Luthor's scheme as well.
