In 1939 the once crime ridden city of Gotham is now free from the rule of the mafia overlords of its past and can now know a semblance of peace, thanks in most part to the efforts of the Vigilante known as the Batman and his various allies, or so they thought as newer and much more sinister enemies threaten to take over Gotham City, The Batman must now come out of the shadows in order to face these threats as well as confront secrets pertaining to his own past and family history
