A couple of months after the fight between the crime syndicate, Batman faces a deadly new vigilante, Red Hood, who uses lethal force, disrupting Gotham's crime world and forcing Batman to confront the tragic death of his second Robin, Jason Todd, who was resurrected and returned seeking revenge, especially on the Joker, challenging Batman's no-kill rule and revealing a deep rift in their heroic ideals, culminating in a showdown where Jason forces Bruce to choose between him and Joker, leading to Jason's near-death experience again but ultimate survival and a new path.
