Born in the Narrows, forced to turn to violence and theft to survive, at the age of 13 while trying to earn a place with a crew of petty thieves, he is caught by Batman trying to steal tyres from the batmobile, he spares Jason and takes him to get burgers. After Dick quits Batman decides to bring on Jason as a Robin to help control his anger and save him from going down the wrong path. Jason advances as a Robin but his ego and restlessness gets him killed by the Joker. Talia Al Ghul steals his corpse and revives him with a Lazarus Pit, he is trained by the league to be used as a weapon against Bruce but instead defects back to being a hero working as a Gotham knight.
