After waking up on an illithid ship, our protagonists discover that they have all been infected with a parasite that enthralls them and will eventually transform them into squid-like humanoids. With their pending transformation and the threat of an ever-growing cult looming behind Faerun, our protagonists must find a way to find a cure and save their home.
