At San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022, Marvel Studios announced Avengers: Secret Wars. In October, Michael Waldron was revealed to be writing the screenplay, after previously serving as head writer for the first season of Loki (2021) and the writer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022). Majors is attached to reprise his role as Kang. Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to be released on May 7, 2027.
