In a more serious version of the 'Goosebumps' film, Slappy the Dummy frees himself from the manuscripts and begins freeing not just the monsters created by R.L. Stine, but other authors' works such as Bram Stoker and Stephen King. He also accidentally brings the authors to the present day, where they meet up with modern day horror authors. Together, they must capture the escaped monsters and villains from their stories, seal them back in them, and return the authors to their own times before it's too late.
