Centuries ago mankind was slaughtered to almost extinction by giant humanoid creatures called Titans. Out of fear humanity built 3 gigantic concrete walls and hid behind them, living in peace ever since. However, this calm was soon shattered when the Colossal Titan breached the outer wall, and the slaughter started once again. After the loss of his mother Eren Yaeger promised to slaughter every single titan on earth by joining the Survey Corps, a military group that ventures outside the wall in order to find the truth about the titans and humanity.
