Warner Bros and Paramount's Distribution Deal for the AC Movie Franchise
Assassin’s Creed: Retribution is an upcoming dystopian science fiction action film based on the video game franchise of the same name. The film is directed by Justin Kurzel and written by Leigh Whannell. It is a sequel to 2016’s Assassin’s Creed (film) and the second installment in Assassin’s Creed film franchise. Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard reprise their roles while Timothée Chalamet, Joaquin Phoenix, Gabriella Baldacchino and Leslie Odom Jr. joined the cast. Odom was added by Kurzel to the role of Moussa (replacing Michael K. Williams, who died in 2021). Assassin’s Creed: Retribution is set for release by Warner Bros. Pictures and Paramount Pictures in the United States and France on 1 January 2027. It is the first Assassin’s Creed film in the cinematic franchise to be distributed by Warner Bros and Paramount, and of course the whole movie universe has got all PG-13 ratings.
