Assassin's Creed follows Desmond Miles, who relives the memories of his ancestor Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad through a machine called the Animus. In the midst of the Third Crusade, Altaïr must assassinate nine powerful figures who threaten the peace. Along the way, he uncovers a Templar conspiracy to control humanity through an ancient artifact. The story blends action, stealth, and historical intrigue in a millennia-old conflict between Assassins and Templars.
