Arkham Asylum has been renovated, becoming a more secure super-prison. However, to reach it, it is necessary to take an armored ship designed to shelter more than a hundred people, in order to transfer the most dangerous prisoners in a "secure" manner. But, during the first voyage to the Asylum, the ship carrying some of the city's most dangerous supervillains is attacked by numorous armed mercenaries, led by an ambitious foreign criminal, known only as Bane ! A terrible riot takes place on board the ship, the criminals taking control, so Batman will have to come in person, while he's still recovering from a terrible injury, in order to try to restore the situation, but all this seems to have been planned by Bane...
