While he is not a member of the Justice League, recent events from Justice League: Legion of Doom are referenced, setting the stage for his solo journey. Arthur Curry must embrace his heritage and confront his half-brother Orm, who seeks to unite the underwater kingdoms against the surface world. With Mera at his side, Aquaman embarks on a quest to find the legendary Trident of Atlan, which holds the key to his rightful claim to the throne. Amidst breathtaking underwater battles and visually stunning landscapes, Arthur struggles with his identity and responsibilities. The film maintains its original cast and storyline, aside from the casting of Mera. As Arthur unites the kingdoms and prevents a catastrophic war, he fully embraces his role as Aquaman, securing peace for both Atlantis and the surface world.
