Dr. Henry "Hank" is a biochemist, who discovered the Pym Particles, subatomic particles which can increase or decrease the size and mass of objects or living beings. He built a suit and for a time, became the Ant-Man, fighting beside his long-time girlfriend, Janet Van Dyne, who had taken on the mantle of the Wasp.
