Andrew Scott is an Irish actor known for his stage and screen roles. He has won a British Academy Television Award and two Laurence Olivier Awards, and has been nominated for three Golden Globes and three Primetime Emmys. Scott's early television work includes Longitude (2000), Band of Brothers (2001), and John Adams (2008). He gained recognition for his supporting role as Jim Moriarty in the BBC series Sherlock (2010–2017), winning a BAFTA TV Award for his performance
