Modern (East/South/Southeast) Asian culture of Aladdin. Alan Mendoza dreams of "getting out of the gutter" due to his normal yet dull poor life, after his father left him and his mother behind. His dream was to meet the love of his life - K-Pop idol Jasmine. Struggling with the lifestyle he's in and yet serving a Christian church, he meets a genie who helps fulfill his wish.
