(2026) - new interpretation of the book
follows wealthy 1980s New York investment banker Patrick Bateman, who leads a double life as a narcissistic serial killer, obsessing over superficial materialism by day and violently dismembering victims at night. The film is a critique of capitalist, consumerist yuppie culture, where extreme vanity, superficiality, and a lack of empathy lead to a loss of identity and humanity.
