On the 40th anniversary of the mob-murder of infamous child serial-killer Frederick Krueger, the citizens of Springwood, Ohio begin to experience terrifying nightmares. Nancy Thompson, who recently moved to Springwood also experiences these dreams. When Nancy’s childhood friend wakes up physically injured from one of these dreams, Nancy and her friends attempt to uncover the cause of these nightmares.
