Newcomer Bert Worm wants to make friends in Wormingham, so he volunteers to help with the annual Christmas celebration. When his "help" leaves the Town Hall in shambles, chairworm Wormaline Wiggler banishes him. Later, after fearing Bert had been lost in a blizzard, the townsfolk realize they were too hasty in their judgement of him - especially when they discover his hidden talent.
