Pippa Fitz-Amobi, or “Pip” to her friends,” knows a lot of things. Now in her last year of high school, she is tasked to report on a topic of her choice as a final project. Having a keen passion for true crime, Pip decides to thoroughly re-examine the curious case of Andie Bell, a girl who disappeared five years ago from their town of Little Kilton. Armed with nothing but her wit and the conviction to prove that the suspect everyone believes-Sal Singh-is actually innocent, Pip and Ravi (Sal’s younger brother) begin to unearth clues and uncover secrets about the night that Andie had disappeared. Secrets that someone in town desperately wants to stay buried and trying to prove Sal’s innocence may just come at the cost of her safety and maybe even the people she care most about. Suddenly, everything they knew of Little Kilton is about to change.
