Four time Academy Award nominee Edward Norton plays Eric Scrooge in this modern take on Charles Dickens' beloved story. Eric lives in Central Park, notorious for his cold-hearted approach to business and life. He dismisses holiday cheer as frivolous and berates his employees for their lack of productivity, particularly his overworked and underpaid assistant, Robert Pratchett, who struggles to support his family, including his disabled son, Tim. On Christmas Eve, the ghost of his ex-business partner arrives to warn him of his selfish ways, and tells him to expect a visit of three spirits, from Christmas past, present and future. Pulled into a journey of self-discovery, Eric learns how to appreciate the holiday spirit and to respect his employees who work, day in and day out, to support their families.
