Born in Montreal, Mazir is of Algerian and French descent. He’s named after the Amazigh—the indigenous people of North Africa—from which his family came. It’s one of his biggest dreams to visit Algeria and connect with his familial roots. Outside of modeling and travel, Mazir is in school to pursue a career in animation; Hayao Miyazaki is a huge inspiration for him. His passion for arts extends beyond animation and modeling to drawing, painting, writing, photography, literature. To know him is to know passion and freedom. In his own words “I can feel the fire in me burning—it hurts. Life burns up fast because I am burning it down.”
