Eiji Tomari (Kamen Rider Drive)

Eiji Tomari (泊 英志 エイジ , Tomari Eiji) is a character from Kamen Rider Drive: Surprise Future (2015), portrayed by Mackenyu Arata. Eiji was Shinnosuke Tomari's son from a dystopian future who operated as Kamen Rider Drive (仮面ライダードライブ, Kamen Raidā Doraibu) in 2035 before being murdered by the Paradox Roidmude, who then masqueraded under his identity in 2016. Although Eiji lived in a bleak future, he always held on to hope as he fought the Roidmudes, having discovered a way to time travel back to the past but died before he could attempt it. He also grew up never knowing his father on a personal level, and wanted to meet him. After Eiji's identity was copied, Roidmude 108, also known as Paradox, took his Drive Driver as well as Shinnosuke's tie and traveled to 2016. Though Eiji himself never made it to 2016, his passion for justice was inherited by his father who then proceeded to foil Paradox's plans. Eiji's spirit then appeared briefly through Shift Special as a hologram, transforming alongside Shinnosuke to grant him access to Drive type Special. Eiji and his future were erased after Paradox's defeat, allowing his current timeline counterpart to live a brighter future where his entire family is alive and well. Eiji was one of the suspects for the identity of Kamen Rider Dark Drive, which was the subject of mystery in the run-up to the premiere of Kamen Rider Drive: Surprise Future, with a trailer following the Drive episode airing on the Sunday before the film's release offering a list of six suspects which also included Go Shijima, Krim Steinbelt, Chase, Kiriko Shijima, and Shinji Koba. Ultimately, it turned out to be Paradox Roidmude disguised as Eiji. It should be noted that Eiji was the user of the Drive System in the future, being known as Kamen Rider Drive, before Paradox took it and renamed it Dark Drive while transformed.
