Colonel Hansen

Colonel Hansen (Japanese: ハンゾウ Hanzō) is a recurring character who appeared in The Princess and the Togepi and A Togepi Mirage!. He is a crooked Mirage Kingdom official who seeks to take over the kingdom by force. Hansen enlisted the help of Team Rocket to kidnap Togepi from Misty. After he was crowned and sent the king and queen to the dungeon, it didn't take long for Hansen to relieve Team Rocket from their duties and send them blasting off. Due to his impure heart, Hansen's rule over the Mirage Kingdom began to destroy the Togepi Paradise. In response to this, Ash, Misty, May, Max, Brock, Miranda, and Princess Sara fought back against him with Togepi, who by that point had evolved into Togetic; the group was covertly assisted by Team Rocket, who was vengeful from their betrayal. Even with the help of his Pokémon, Hansen ended up losing to the group, after which he was dethroned and put into the dungeon.
