Soon after the ending of WW2, James Howlett is tricked by the government in participating in the Weapon Plus program. The resulting program causes James to lose his memory along with a strong metal known as Adamantium be bonded to his bones. After the procedure, the newly named Weapon X, codenamed Wolverine, joins Team X alongside the other Weapons Plus members. The team is sent into the Soviet Union to take out the Russian’s answer to Weapon Plus known as Omega Red.
