Synopsis

Wicked tells the story of Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West and her relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. Their friendship struggles through their opposing personalities and viewpoints, rivalry over the same love-interest, their reactions to the Wizard's corrupt government, and, ultimately, Elphaba's public fall from grace.

Oscar Diggs, typically referred to as Oscar or simply Oz.First shown working as a magician in the Baum Brothers Circus in 1905, Oscar is a selfish and greedy con artist who aspires to be great.He uses his charm, wit, and ingenuity to deceive others, typically acts only upon his best interest, and does not think of himself as a kind person.Despite this, he has a surprising amount of empathy, and has proven to have a good heart.Glinda describes him as being "...selfish, weak, slightly egotistical, and a fibber"
