To prevent Prince Phobos' evil plans from spreading beyond the world of Metamoor and to protect the rest of the universe, the Oracle lowered a Veil over the planet, separating Metamoor from the rest of the realms under Kandrakar’s protection. However, several portals have opened between Meridian and Heatherfield on Earth, creating a series of passageways for the desperate refugees and monsters of Meridian to infiltrate Earth. Description of Will Vandom (Guardian of Quintessence/Keeper of the Heart):

Will is a tomboy and is also sensitive towards other people's feelings. She is known to have a fiery, and unstable, temper, just like her mom but she has the personality of a great leader. Will has issues with trusting people because she is scared of being let down or rejected, like with her old friends in Fadden Hills. Will also struggles with jealousy issues, such as when she believed that Matt and Mandy were dating after her astral drop saw them hugging (as old friends). Will's favorite subject is science, especially biology, and her hobby is swimming, thus she is on Sheffield Institute's competitive team.
