For most of their lives, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lived in the sewers, being trained in the art of Ninjitju by their adoptive father, Master Splinter. But when they are discovered by April O'Neil, a young teenage girl, they learn of a war going on in New York City. The Shredder, the old archrival of Splinter, has begun to grow his ninja cult the Foot Clan throughout the city.
