Description of James Paul Moody (Sixth Officer Moody):

James Paul Moody (21 August 1887 – 15 April 1912 (aged 24)) was born in Scarborough, England, on 21 August 1887, the youngest of four children born to solicitor Henry Moody and his wife Evelyn Moody. Moody's grandfather and namesake, Paul James Moody, had been a prominent local figure. Moody attended the Rosebery House School, where he received a prestigious education, before joining the Navy training vessel HMS Conway as a cadet in 1902-1903. In March 1912 he received word that he was to be assigned to RMS Titanic as her Sixth Officer. A few days later, he met the love of his life, Victoria Wolfe, who would become Titanic's seventh officer.
