Thor, son of Odin, the king of the Norse gods, is soon to inherit the throne of Asgard from his aging father. However, on the day of his coronation, Thor reacts with brutality when the gods' enemies enter the palace, violating the treaty. As punishment, Odin sends Thor to Earth. While his brother Loki plots in Asgard, Thor, now powerless, faces his greatest threat.
