Description of Aimee Dubois:
Aimee is one of the Plutos (a group of friends who are also foster siblings) along with Rufus, Malcolm, and Tagoe. She was also Rufus’s girlfriend until a few weeks before the novel begins. Aimee’s parents were put in prison for violently robbing a convenience store—and though this lands her in foster care at first, she lives with her aunt when the novel begins. She broke up with Rufus when she moved out of the foster home so that she could have a “fresh start.”
