Synopsis

The White Lotus luxury resort chain expands its reach to Japan, opening an exclusive retreat in Kyoto, a city where ancient traditions clash with modern excess. Set against the backdrop of serene temples, bustling izakayas, and hidden geisha districts, a new set of privileged guests arrive, each bringing their own baggage—both literal and emotional. As the week unfolds, cultural misunderstandings, suppressed desires, and deep-seated resentments bubble to the surface. The staff, struggling to balance Japanese hospitality with the reckless entitlement of the guests, find themselves caught in the chaos. And as always, a mysterious death looms over the resort, leaving everyone wondering: who didn’t make it out alive?
