When a rocket crashes after lift-off, Charles Xavier suspects Magneto's hand is on the trigger. This theory is confirmed when the rocket is claimed by Magneto in the name of all mutants. Xavier calls together his X-Men to confront the isolated nation of Genosha, ruled by Magneto. Upon arrival, the X-Men bear witness to the growing forces of Magneto's Brotherhood. Their forces unmatched, the X-Men go on a global tour to recruit like-minded mutants. Led by Cyclops, the X-Men obtain the allegiance of Colossus, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, and Storm.
