Synopsis

Loosely based on The Thing video game. We follow a group of mercenaries that are tasked with finding the group of scientists from the first film. However the creature starts to assimilate them one by one, until or protagonist Blake, is the last man standing.

Description of Assimilated R.J. MacReady:

The ending of the original film doesn’t state whether Mac or Childs is The Thing. However in the video game, and in this film. Mac was The Thing, and he returns at the end of this film to attack Blake. His appearance is different from before due to The Thing changing his physical features the longer he’s assimilated.
