Synopsis

For twelve years, Prospero, the former Duke of Milan, had trained himself in the ways of magic and alchemy and now plots his revenge against the ones he deems responsible for exiling him and his daughter to die.

Description of Caliban:

Through his roles as Baron Mordo in Doctor Strange 1 and 2, John Loomis in Z for Zachariah, and King Henry in a BBC Radio 4 presentation of Henry V, I believe Chiwetel would be a fantastic choice to play Caliban in order to display his barbaric, monstrous behavior and physicality and his potential as a serious foil to contrast with Stephano and Trinculo’s brand of comedy! Even his roles as Lola in Kinky Boots and Scar in The Lion King (2019) showcase his great singing voice which he can utilize when Caliban sings of his opportunity at freedom within his grasp when Stephano and Trinculo agree to help him kill Prospero!
