Synopsis

A group of vampires from all different walks of life (or the lack of it) find a safe haven in a building just outside of LA, masquerading as an orphanage. Maybe pretending to be an orphanage wasn't the best idea, but hey, it works. A newly turned vampire, Ingrid, is lucky enough to find the orphanage and get help from those inside. Everything is going fine until a human baby is dropped off at the orphanages doorstep.

Description of David S. Pupkin:

David is probably the only person in town more bizarre (and deadly) than the Orphanage's residents. Owner, proprietor, bellhop, maître d', lounge singer, and handyman, garishly attired David runs the Pleasant Point Hotel (more often called the "Crappiness Hotel) with gusto and zeal, though the disappearance of several fortune five hundred guests tends to leave people weary of him. In a bizarre twist, Paul Simms is the only citizen that doesn't believe him to be a serial killer. Ingrid jokingly refers to him as "David S. Pumpkins" on account of their similar names and personalities.
