Synopsis

It’s Oscar night in Hollywood and among the attendees is none other than oddball character actor turned amateur detective Sammy Lucas – here to present the award for Best Original Screenplay. Lucas was hoping to spend the night meeting his filmmaking heroes, but when the host turns up dead backstage(!), Sammy is not only tasked with catching the culprit, but in order to not derail the festivities he must also step in as host and keep the show going!

Description of Kitty Mills (The Truly Best Supporting Actress):

Collins’ renowned co-star walked away with the film after a stirring single-scene performance - hailed as the best of its kind since Ned Beatty in Network! Her good nature and charisma endear her towards everyone around her, including her fellow nominees. When her name was unsurprisingly called to the stage, her acceptance speech was cut short as a stage light suddenly dropped from the scaffolding and nearly crushed her, but the agile Mills dived out of the way just in time. Later, sensing foul play, Mills enlists the aid off her fellow supporting actress nominees in their very own investigation backstage.
