Vito discovered that the letters were sent by the De Leonardi firm, and apparently, his brother was in debt and owed the firm fifty thousand euros, which is why the court ordered the auction of Antonello's apartment to recover the money. As it turned out, for five hundred euros a month, Antonello and his friend, Salvatore, had taken up a shady job where they had to pretend to be property owners for a company so that their business did not seem sketchy. They had no idea that the job would leave Antonello in debt, and Vito suggested that the only way they could get out of the mess was by talking to Mr. De Leonardi. They arrived at his office, only to find that he was absent, and his daughter wouldn't be available for the next month and a half. Vito and Antonello were hell-bent on meeting her, and they decided to follow her to an event her father had organized. Even though they successfully entered the event, they did not get to speak to Marina (Laura Adriani). But to Vito's surprise, his brother had stolen her phone. He discovered that Marina donated ten thousand euros annually to a dog shelter, and Antonello suggested that if only they could manage to grab her attention as a non-profit organization, she might well donate money to them.
