Synopsis

Set during the Cold War, President Dwight D. Eisenhower assembles the first ever team of superheroes to protect American interests from the Soviet Union who, after a series of sinister machinations orchestrated by the mysterious Vandal Savage, are looking to escalate hostilities with the United States.

Description of "There will be no mistakes this time." (Mid-credits scene):

During the present day, Savage is showing Lex Luthor some old tapes of his battles against the Justice Society. Luthor tells Savage that he has far more resources this time around, and that there would be no mistakes this time, before pulling up a computer file showing the completed roster of their new team, the Legion of Doom. The names on the roster include: Black Adam, The Joker, Harley Quinn, Gorilla Grodd, Thomas Merlyn, Captain Cold, Sinestro, Thaddeus Sivana, King Shark, Solomon Grundy, and Cheetah.
