Synopsis

Long before the Justice League even existed, Kent Nelson has seen the world meet superheroes by acting alongside others as fabulous as he is. Today, the so-called Justice Society has the same as its leader, who in recent times saw the opportunity to recruit new members, alongside some old remnants of the group. But when an enemy of the former Justice Society resurfaces, Doctor Fate feels the time is right to act if they are to defeat the world's first metahuman once and for all. Inspired by the iconic titular group, 'The Justice Society' is a story about legacy, as some heroes old and new unite against a threat that has plagued the metahuman world in the past.

Description of Doctor Mid-Nite (Pieter Cross):

While he hasn't been with the Justice Society since the beginning either, Cross has been a member of the team for quite some time. A brilliant Norwegian surgeon, who after an accident was almost blind, but who in return gained the ability to see light spectrums in total darkness, in addition to serving as the group's doctor, when necessary. He is always accompanied by Charlie, his pet owl which he named after the original Doctor Mid-Nite, Charles McNider. It is revealed by Fate at one point that Charles has recently passed away from an illness, but he prefers not to delve into the matter further.
