Respected albino chemist Jack Griffin has discovered a formula allowing one to become invisible, unseen to the naked eye. His fiancée Flora Cecil and his colleague Arthur Kemp are very worried about Jack, who starts to lose his mind to the formula and pushes Flora out of his life. The next moment, Jack has apparently committed suicide. Soon Flora and Arthur learn that a problem can't truly vanish in thin air as an invisible Jack begins hunting the two of them all across the country.
