A recast of the book series, "The Hunger Games". A more book-accurate piece of media for this series would be amazing. The original movies were good but many characters were white-washed or there are just good actors for this moment in time.

Description of Katniss Everdeen:

Katniss Everdeen is described as having straight black hair, olive skin, and grey eyes. She lives in poverty and is rather skinny. Her hair is normally tied back in a long braid down her back. She is small for her age yet strong due to hunting. It is important Katniss is a person of colour. Many fans envision Katniss as Native American although she can be any race as she is just described as having olive skin.

  • sssiren District 12 is clearly written as Native American, Katniss especially. I also just suggested her being Native American, I'm not forcing anyone. Please chill, no-one should be that angry over the race of a fictional character.

  • p3rs0na Just because the fans envision her as Native American doesn't make her Native. It doesn't matter what y'all want, it matters what the author or creators want.
