Synopsis

The Fantastic Four are summoned when a mysterious flare appears in the sky, disrupting their daily lives. Susan Storm turns invisible to travel discreetly, Ben Grimm bursts through a store and into the sewers, Johnny Storm ignites and flies away, attracting military attention, and all are ultimately drawn to Reed Richards. They recall their origins—sneaking aboard Reed’s experimental spacecraft, Marvel-1, which he had designed to visit a newly discovered habitable planet. However, during their flight, they were exposed to a powerful cosmic ray storm that altered their biology, granting them incredible abilities. Embracing their newfound powers, they form the Fantastic Four to protect humanity. Their first challenge arises when atomic plants worldwide suffer mysterious attacks. Investigating, the team encounters the Mole Man, a subterranean ruler who has mastered an army of monsters after being shunned by the surface world. The Fantastic Four narrowly escape his lair before he destroys it. Soon after, they confront the Skrulls, shape-shifting aliens impersonating them to ruin their reputations and pave the way for an invasion. Outsmarting the Skrulls, the team tricks their leader into calling off the attack, then hypnotizes three remaining Skrulls into believing they are cows, leaving them to live peacefully in a field.
