Synopsis

GUN have been hunting down one certain mercenary working for Eggman since day one: Zero the Jackal, along with his team Jackal Squad. Zero has a new assignment from the surprisingly-alive Dr Robotnik of acquiring a powerful gem capable of warping realities and time itself: the Phantom Ruby. GUN sent Shadow and Team Dark to chase the Jackal Squad as they go to pull off the murderous heist. After losing his entire team, and a battle to Shadow, Zero had been mocked and insulted for being weak and not being worth the effort. When he finally obtained the Phantom Ruby, he volunteers to be Eggman's guinea pig for his experiment. Eventually, Zero will become the most powerful enemy Mobius has ever seen: Infinite.

Description of Shadow the Hedgehog:

Shadow was hired by GUN to find Jackal Squad and put an end to them once and for all, since every time a GUN squadron came to them, or even just Zero, they'd either get severely injured . . . or perish. Shadow had been hunting Jackal Squad like a wolf and he will make sure they will never hurt anyone else. When Zero's team was lost due to the alarms going off in the security system that was holding the Phantom Ruby, then Shadow had beaten each and every. Single. One. Of them. Shadow has become an enemy of Zero's and they finally had their first battle. But Shadow was unimpressed and disappointed that of all things he heard about Zero, he was weak compared to the Ultimate Lifeform.
