Synopsis

GUN have been hunting down one certain mercenary working for Eggman since day one: Zero the Jackal, along with his team Jackal Squad. Zero has a new assignment from the surprisingly-alive Dr Robotnik of acquiring a powerful gem capable of warping realities and time itself: the Phantom Ruby. GUN sent Shadow and Team Dark to chase the Jackal Squad as they go to pull off the murderous heist. After losing his entire team, and a battle to Shadow, Zero had been mocked and insulted for being weak and not being worth the effort. When he finally obtained the Phantom Ruby, he volunteers to be Eggman's guinea pig for his experiment. Eventually, Zero will become the most powerful enemy Mobius has ever seen: Infinite.

Description of Post Credit Scene (Another universe?):

Infinite was roaming Mobius when a singularity opened up in Luminous Forest, the same place where Shadow beat Zero. Infinite saw what came out of it and it looked like the Phantom Ruby's energy surrounding it. Then what he saw nobody expected: HIMSELF!!! Specifically, Infinite from the game Sonic Forces!!! He has grown weak and tells Dawnverse Infinite that he is him from another universe. Infinite was confused, so Infinite Prime told him that this world is just a branch in the tree of timelines. Dawnverse Infinite, confused but intrigued, asks "I'm listening."
