Synopsis

GUN have been hunting down one certain mercenary working for Eggman since day one: Zero the Jackal, along with his team Jackal Squad. Zero has a new assignment from the surprisingly-alive Dr Robotnik of acquiring a powerful gem capable of warping realities and time itself: the Phantom Ruby. GUN sent Shadow and Team Dark to chase the Jackal Squad as they go to pull off the murderous heist. After losing his entire team, and a battle to Shadow, Zero had been mocked and insulted for being weak and not being worth the effort. When he finally obtained the Phantom Ruby, he volunteers to be Eggman's guinea pig for his experiment. Eventually, Zero will become the most powerful enemy Mobius has ever seen: Infinite.

Description of Liam the Jackal (Flashbacks):

Liam was one of the worst fathers anyone's ever known, and one of the worst criminals, too. He even named him Zero because he thinks his son would be a zero in the future! He'd always whup Zero on the back with a belt, tell him he'd never amount to anything in life, telling him that he's nothing, that he's weak. In terms of being a real father, Liam is WORSE than Mammoth Mogul OR Starline!!! The worst part is . . . he even killed Zero's own mother right in front of him when he was a child (of course, we don't see it). Fortunately, the first thing Zero did when he became a mercenary was to destroy his own father, which he did. With his blade.
