Synopsis

GUN have been hunting down one certain mercenary working for Eggman since day one: Zero the Jackal, along with his team Jackal Squad. Zero has a new assignment from the surprisingly-alive Dr Robotnik of acquiring a powerful gem capable of warping realities and time itself: the Phantom Ruby. GUN sent Shadow and Team Dark to chase the Jackal Squad as they go to pull off the murderous heist. After losing his entire team, and a battle to Shadow, Zero had been mocked and insulted for being weak and not being worth the effort. When he finally obtained the Phantom Ruby, he volunteers to be Eggman's guinea pig for his experiment. Eventually, Zero will become the most powerful enemy Mobius has ever seen: Infinite.

Description of Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik:

After having fully rebuilt his new body, Robotnik has finally walked the planet once again, showing some similarities to the one he had in Robopocalypse before becoming Metal Robotnik. Everyone thinks he's gone forever after Starline's base was emptied, but no. The malicious A.I. had inserted himself into the body his Badniks had made for him. Seeing the Jackal Squad has gone rogue since his "departure, he hires them again for the Phantom Ruby. Eventually, the alarm at the place it was at went off, and it could be anybody. It was him, but Zero doesn't need to know. The jackal doesn't know, but Eggman was responsible for his team's deaths.
