After being betrayed by his colleague and having his innovative "Tech Flight" system stolen, he turned to a life of crime. As Nocturnal, he uses advanced technology and gadgets to manipulate darkness and shadows, making him a formidable and elusive adversary for Spider-Man. He is intelligent, cunning, and harbors a deep grudge against those who wronged him.
