Twelve-year-old Massie Block is the leader of the Pretty Committee, a clique of popular, wealthy students at her upstate New York all-girls private school, Octavian County Day. Description of Kristen Gregory (4th In Command):

Kristen Gregory is the 4th in command in the Pretty Committee. She is popular at OCD for being extremely stylish and very pretty, but also is know for being the smartest and the sportiest girl in the Pretty Committee and OCD. Her trademark is being the best soccer player at OCD, as she is the captain of the girl's team, the Sirens. She has a scholarship at OCD, and is considered "poor" by the PC, even though she is middle class. She is not very rich, but she used to be. Her father was a famous art dealer until a deal went wrong. She lives in an apartment and has a cat named after David Beckham because she loves soccer.
