Synopsis

After witnessing the death of his parents, billionaire Bruce Wayne travels the world to learn the means of fighting injustice. Upon returning to Gotham 8-years later, he seeks to fight the crime and corruption that has plagued the city for so long as the vigilante known as "Batman." But when a deformed madman calling himself "The Joker" seeks to take control of Gotham's criminal underworld, Batman must find a way to defeat probably his most ruthless nemesis yet.

Description of Lt. James Gordon:

James Worthington Gordon is the tritagonist of The Batman. He is a lieutenant within the Gotham City Police Department, renowned for being one of the few who was corrupt early on. After a young Bruce Wayne witnessed the death of his parents, he comforted him by putting his coat on him, assuring him he'd be okay, and as such, he forms a tenuous partnership with Batman to eradicate crime from Gotham. He later becomes the new Police Commissioner by the end of the film.
