Description of Azrael (Jean-Paul Valley):

Jean-Paul Valley aka Azrael grew up in a small village in Israel where he was psychologically and physically conditioned to be its protector as the Avenging Angel Azrael. He was trained to kill sinners and attackers from his childhood. He was made into a weapon by The Order Of St. Dumas. He heard the stories of The Batman all the way across the world, he idolized him. When Batman came to the village because of rumors about the league of assassins, the village was destroyed. Jean-Paul came back to Gotham with him and became a member of the Bat-Family. But cause of his conditioning he mercilessly slaughtered anyone he deemed a sinner
